The Zeilberg is a 463 m above sea level. NHN[1] high mountain in the nature park and district of Haßberge in eastern Lower Franconia, about two kilometers east of Maroldsweisach. It is one of the few still recognizable volcanoes in the Heldburg Gangschar and gives its name to the Zeilberge, which as the highest part of the Itz-Baunach hill country flows geologically to the west but is separated by the Baunachtal and merges into the actual Haßberge.

The volcano is 16 million years old and consists of nepheline basanite. In 1895, Erste Bayerische Basaltstein AG began quarrying basalt in a quarry near Maroldsweisach. In 1900, Bayerische Hartstein AG followed with mining in the neighboring Voccawind. Every year, 20 employees mine 800,000 tons of basalt. The fourth level is 371 meters above sea level. NHN.(Status: 2014)
