Behind the impressive classicist facade designed by Stüler is a late Gothic hall church. In addition to the altar, the large Romanesque baptismal font is well worth seeing and an absolute rarity. The origin of the huge, octagonal baptismal font with the expressive figures is unknown and is believed to have been created in the 13th century.

St. Mary's Church was built in the 12th century... Today's church, which was built as a three-hall church at the beginning of the 18th century, consists partly of field stones and bricks. In 1850, two towers were built on the west gable, built by Oberhof Baurat August Stüler, a student of Schinkel.
... The organ is the only remaining Reubke organ of its size and at the same time the largest romantic organ of the 19th century in the state of Brandenburg.
