Great hiking trail always along the Sersbach. The free-roaming goats are used to people and are not very shy. But the following applies:

    Hiking

Very nice way along the Scheerbach direction Forbach. The path signposted as a goat path goes past goats and haystacks, over bridges and small paths peppered with various information along the stream into the valley. Well suited for families with children. Way is usually a trail so that good footwear is beneficial. Parking can be in Forbach or if right from the top is started in Bermersbach. The hike is very nice to combine with a visit to the water playground in Forbacher Murggarten.

    Hiking

Beautiful, narrow path, idyllically along the brook and through a few gates to keep the goats from escaping.

The Ziegenpfad Bermersbach features mostly narrow, natural trails that wind along the Sersbach stream and directly through goat pastures. Hikers will encounter some uneven surfaces, small bridges, and pasture gates. Due to the natural and sometimes rustic path conditions, fixed, sturdy footwear is strongly recommended to ensure comfort and stability throughout the hike.

Is the Ziegenpfad Bermersbach suitable for families with young children or strollers?

While the trail is considered very family-friendly, especially due to the interactive experience with the goats, it is not suitable for strollers. Yes, dogs are permitted on the Ziegenpfad Bermersbach. However, it is mandatory to keep dogs on a leash at all times. When is the best time of year to visit the Ziegenpfad Bermersbach to see the goats?

The best time to visit if you want to see the goats grazing on the pastures is typically between May and October.
