The striking town hall of the Roman town on the northern edge of the market square, which is decorated with a striking Marienbrunnen, was initially built as a school and town house in 1835, after the former town hall, built in 1539, was demolished in 1808 during Napoleon's time. In addition to the classicist town hall, the Remagen city administration also uses a few neighboring buildings, as the actual home does not have enough space for the workforce.
