"The Bodendorf weir, which was rebuilt in 1972, was an obstacle to the migration of migratory fish in the Ahr until the 1990s. Since autumn 1997, salmon, sea trout, shad, eel and river sea lamprey have been able to travel upstream to their spawning grounds again.
