The seat of the caretaker, the colonel of the civil administration and the judiciary was moved around 1505 from Pähl to Weilheim in the "Ducal Nursing Castle" in Hofgasse. In 1879 the name was changed to Weilheim District Court. Today the Weilheim tax office is housed in the building. In 1857 and 1909 the right and left parts of the building were added. The building can easily be mistaken for a castle. The rose garden, created by the Beautification Association in 2007, reinforces this impression.
