<< Ponds at the Belzbach (Jöllenbecker Mühlenbach) >>
"... The Jöllenbecker Mühlenbach is a left tributary of the Johannisbach.
The water has a total length of 9.9 km. The catchment area extends over part of the Ravensberger Mulde between Aa and Else. The water rises in the north of Jöllenbeck in the Nagelsholz area and flows into the Johannisbach (river kilometer 13.5) and the Obersee near Schildesche. With the installation of the Johannisbach flood, which leads the water of the Johannisbach and the Jöllenbecker Mühlenbach along the north bank around the Obersee, the Jöllenbeck Mühlenbach was also separated from the Obersee and now flows directly into the new river bed of the Johannisbach. The water flows through the following communities on its way from the source to the mouth:
Bielefeld, Spenge, Bielefeld, Enger, Herford, Bielefeld. The longest part of its course is the Grenzbach brook of the mentioned communities. On its way, the water includes the following waters when viewed downstream:
Hemigholder Bach, Jölle, Belzbach, Schlothagener Bach. ... "
