Tips
On the old Schildsker railway bridge drove the Bielefeld circular path. These were a private enterprise of the former Prussian district Bielefeld, which today forms the urban area Bielefeld to a large extent. Starting from the city of Bielefeld, three meter-gauge narrow gauge railways opened up the area; their then endpoints were then as now outside the district in the neighboring districts. They were operated with the exception of the Sudbrackbahn until decommissioning exclusively with steam locomotives.
