Best Hikes to Roman Water Conduit

Tips

  • The “Roman Aqueduct” visitor forum is very lovingly designed. You can even turn on the light in the aqueduct. The aqueduct can also be visited on the first Sunday of every month between May and October (mornings between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.).

  • During the "opening hours" (in summer on the first Sunday of the month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) you can get an informative talk and go down into the shafts to follow the tunnel for a good 20 meters.
It is not known where the water comes from or where it ultimately comes out. There are speculations, but all experiments with colored water have been unsuccessful.
