It consists of three U-shaped buildings arranged around the square, which has been named after Ernst Friedrich Sieveking, the first president of the Higher Regional Court, since 1912.
Previously, it was called Holstenplatz – along with what is now Johannes-Brahms-Platz – named after the Holsten Gate that once stood there.
