The Harzer Hexenstieg (official spelling: Harzer-Hexen-Stieg) is a nearly 100 km long hiking trail that leads from Osterode through the Harz over the Brocken to Thale.

In addition, two alternative routes are offered: on the one hand the Brocken bypass from Torfhaus via St. Andreasberg and Braunlage (32.3 km), on the other hand the Köhler path south of the Rappbodetalsperre from Königshütte via Hasselfelde (23.8 km). The total route network is 152 km.

It is a project of the Harzer Tourismusverband e.V. and the Harz Club and is included in the Harzer hiking pin system with 28 stamp points and its own themed badge.

The quality hiking trail, certified since 2007, connects the federal states of Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt and leads through the districts of Göttingen, Goslar and Harz.

The Hexenstieg crosses the Harz National Park between Altenau and Drei-Annen-Hohne.

In 2009, Hexenstieg was a founding member of the Top Trails of Germany marketing cooperation.

In autumn 2013 the central German long-distance hiking trail celebrated its tenth anniversary.

In 2012, the Hexenstieg ultra run was held for the first time on the Hexenstieg, an ultra marathon over 216 km.

The Glashüttenweg is a hiking trail north of the town of Schierke in the Harz Mountains in Saxony-Anhalt, which belongs to the city of Wernigerode.

It is about 7.5 kilometers long and is located in the southern part of the wooded Brocken massif.

The Glashüttenweg leads from Drei Annen Hohne to the west in the direction of the Brocken summit.

However, the Glashüttenweg ends about 3.5 kilometers before the summit and joins the Brockenstraße.

The path passes the Trudenstein, leads over the Spider crossroads, bypasses the Erdbeerkopf and passes the cliffs Ahrentsklint, Schlungsklippe and Kapellenklippen a short distance away.

The name of the path goes back to the glassworks originally located at Jacobsbruch.

It existed for a few years in the 19th century.

The Glashüttenweg served as a transport route to the hut, of which only a few remains of the foundations have been preserved.

The Harzer-Hexen-Stieg long-distance hiking trail leads over the Glashüttenweg.
