The windmill was built in 1801 by the Schaager merchant family Moubis as a pure flour mill. It was bigger than any windmill in the district. Unfortunately the wings had to be removed in 1919.

There is a modern entrance door in the mill and there is also a bell and a mailbox. People probably live here, which I think is pretty cool.
