Hiking

The Levada da Serra do Faial meanders gently through eucalyptus and laurel forests, always accompanied by the soft murmur of water. Occasionally, beautiful views open up of the slopes above Funchal, small villages, and terraced fields. The largely flat, easily walkable path is ideal for leisurely hikers, but some narrow sections still require attention and sure footing.
