The idyllically located Bootshaus Gebauer on the banks of the Main Spree was operated as a boat building workshop at the beginning of the 20th century, before it was expanded to include boat rentals with the rise of tourism. Due to the central location in the Spreewald, the rental is an ideal starting point for bike tours, smaller paddling tours around Lübben, but also for more demanding one-day or multi-day canoe hikes beyond the borders of the Spreewald.
