The Bootshaus Gebauer, idyllically located on the banks of the main Spree, was operated as a boat building workshop at the beginning of the 20th century before a boat rental service was added with the rise of tourism. Due to its central location in the Spreewald, the rental is an ideal starting point for cycling tours, shorter paddling tours around Lübben, but also for more demanding one- or multi-day canoe trips beyond the borders of the Spreewald.
