This old manor was the residence of the showmaster Rudi Carrell for a long time.
In the 11th or 12th century, the Knippenberg motte castle was built on the grounds of Gut Wachendorf as the residence of a country nobleman.
After Rudi Carrell's death, a facility for intensive care and palliative care was set up here.
