We hike through the center of St. Martin, first on Einlaubstrasse and then a short path along the Kropsbach. At the edge of the forest are the Bellachini fountain and the pond. Then it goes steeply uphill to the Schwalbenfelsen.

The Ulmener Maar is, at approx. 11,000 years old, the youngest volcano in the Eifel.
We walk along the shore and climb up to Ulmen Castle.
Since 2023, it has been possible to walk through a connecting tunnel to the older maar, the Jungfernweiher. It is a great experience to walk through this narrow tunnel, definitely recommended.
