The construction of the church began on May 7, 1965 and included the current choir and priest's room with an entrance from the west side and a descent into the basement. The church was consecrated on April 24, 1966.On August 31, 1969, the second stage began, consisting of the church and the tower. The interior of the church remained as it is today.The construction of the 3rd stage started in 1980 to today's "Sidehuset". This includes 2 confirmation rooms.
