A stone altar made of boulders with the inscription of the first line of the earlier national anthem "Germany, Germany above everything" has stood on the highest vantage point (Wzgórze Pamięci) since the 1930s. Next to the stone altar, granite stones were set up for well-known personalities, including Beethoven and Bismarck, Kant and Wilhelm II.
The stones were made in 1930 and strangely enough survived the post-war period.

A stone altar made of boulders with the inscription of the first line of the earlier national anthem "Germany, Germany above everything" has stood on the highest vantage point (Wzgórze Pamięci) since the 1930s. In addition to the stone altar and elsewhere in the park, stones were set up for well-known personalities - in keeping with the times as heroes' pantheon for national self-reflection. Including Beethoven and Bismarck, Kant and war strategists like Schlieffen and Wilhelm II - the mixture looks illustrious and arbitrary.
