In the center of the city of Friesack is the approximately 1 hectare "Hohenzollern Park". A monument was erected here in 1894 to the first Elector of Brandenburg, Friedrich I, commemorating the conquest of Friesack Castle and the expulsion of the Quitzow robber barons in 1414. Later the area was designed as a park. The complex, neglected in the post-war period, was renovated by the city in 2012 and "revived" in its original design. This included the paths, places to stay and plantings.

The burgrave of Nuremberg from the Hohenzollern family conquered Friesack Castle in 1414 and drove the Quitzow robber barons out of the country.
