The historic Bloody Bush Pillar marks the border between England and Scotland. It's also thought to be the site of a fracas between Border Reivers in the 15th or 16th century, in which a party of camping English raiders were killed.

The pillar stands on the Cross Border Trail from Kielder to Newcastleton. Expect to give way to mountain bikers and enjoy the lovely views of tussocky moorland.
