Premium Trails in the Frau-Holle-Land Geo-Nature Park

A beautifully designed premium trail with a high proportion of paths, including some truly quiet sections. Beautiful views and diverse forests await you along this trail. From the Hohe Süß, you can spot Monte Kali in the distance (slag heaps from the potash salt mining near Heringen). Since around 1300, Tannenberg Castle, with the von Baumbach family, has shaped the history of Nentershausen and the surrounding area. Most of the old castle, the old farmyard, and several remains of the walls have been preserved.

There is always something free in the large parking lot right next to the cemetery. Ideal starting point for hikers, cyclists and mountain bikers. Here you can z. B. enter the squirrel path. To get to the car park in the village, simply follow the signs to "Friedhof". There is another parking lot about 400 m above in the forest, but it is much smaller.
