This statue of the very elderly race actress Ivonne Van Acker is located on the Van Hoorebekeplein and is actually a second version of the original statue that was stolen shortly after the unveiling and has never been found. Ivonne was an indestructible amateur stage actress who, well into old age, played leading roles in the successful plays by Excelsior and De KultuurDaad, each produced by Patrick Ysebaert.

Jeannine Van Landschoot (°1946) is an artistic late bloomer. She only started sculpting and painting after a successful career in the hospitality industry, with well-known businesses such as 't Voutje on the Markt and De Vreeze Gods on Kerkplein. It was under the impulse of her husband, the late artist and academy teacher Patrick Ysebaert, that she started in the sculpture class at the Art Academy. It soon turned out that Jeannine really had a knack for sculpting, especially her portraits in clay are amazingly similar to the original version. There are countless examples: Vonne Van Acker, Luc Verstraete and her husband Patrick. But other sculptures by her hand also adorn the public space in Eeklo and elsewhere.
