03.03.2019 - In good weather, a fair is held on some public holidays. Nice, quiet ambience and strong place with a lot of power and charisma. Always wonderful and refreshing to come here 🙏.

The Spittelwald chapel is located in the Tüpl Bruckneudorf, which can only be entered on weekends and on practice-free days. The chapel can be reached from Jois, Winden am See and Bruckneudorf on a rather easy hike.

In the once very popular devotional chapel there was a carved statue of the "Sorrowful Mother of God", which was brought to the Bürgerspitalkapelle in 1764. In their place, a replica made in oil was set up in the forest chapel.

In the summer of 1798 the reputation of a miraculous healing spread, whereupon more and more pilgrims, especially from the Hungarian parishes, come to the chapel. For this reason, Bruck began to build a spacious stone church in place of the wooden church in 1799. The rush at the small church was so great that the clergy from the neighboring Hungarian parishes expressed concern and complained to the Bishop of Raab. The chapel building had to be temporarily stopped. In May 1800 the Ordinariate in Raab was instructed to take the image of Mary to the nearest Hungarian parish church. . When this decision became known, the people of Bruck brought the picture to the city.
