Quaint little village with renowned pub and several hiking trails leading from it. Well worth the visit. Few parking options, so better walk from Rosthwaite.

Hiking

Stonethwaite has a few parking spots near the phone box in the village but these get taken up quickly in the morning, lots of roadside parking (on the grass) on way into village. Pretty little hamlet with a welcoming pub at the end of a days hiking. Lots of routes in this area and on a hot day the pools in the langstrath are very inviting, but still cold.
