Hiking
Palazzo Paradiso was built in 1391 as an Este delight on behalf of Alberto V d'Este and was decorated with frescoes of court life. It became the seat of the Council between 1437 and 1438 during the Council of Basel, Ferrara and Florence.
The Tomb of Ludovico Ariosto is kept in the hall on the first floor.
In the seventeenth century, following an intervention by Giovan Battista Aleotti, the clock tower and the marble portal were built, thus the building assumed its recent appearance. The grand staircase of the building is monumental, in marble, adorned with epigraphs and frescoes.
