The Arroyo de la Prahihuela is a charming place in Valverde de los Arroyos, located in the province of Guadalajara, Castilla-La Mancha. This small municipality is located at the foot of the mountain, with the highest peak, Ocejón, at 2049 meters high. The area is part of Black Architecture, characterized by its wooden buildings and golden roofs. Additionally, on the outskirts of Valverde de los Arroyos, you will find the impressive Chorrera de Despeñalagua, a waterfall more than 100 meters high, one of the highest in the entire Iberian Peninsula. It is born on the southern slope of Cerro del Campo, Bajo Las Covachas, next to La Fuente de La Albariza. I descend 250 meters of elevation from its source to its entrance into the Arroyo de La Chorrera.
It owes its name to the nearby place of La Prahiuela, which is halfway up the slope of the aforementioned Cerro del Campo and Las Piquerinas.
