Nobody knows when exactly the village was deserted. It is believed that sometime in the 18th centuries the settlers got caught in a storm on their way back from a wedding and never made it back to their village. Today there are only the ruins of their houses left.

The walk up from the falls leads first through a pretty woodland before a long stretch on a forestry road. The ruins are in a small woodland. While the walk up can feel a bit long, the return comes with some nice views.
