A viewing pavilion was erected on the slope path to the Marienberg Fortress in cooperation with the City Commercial Vocational Training Center II Würzburg. The preliminary planning was carried out together with architects and landscape architects. The carpenters worked on the object for around 800 hours. Due to the difficult situation on the slope, the road builders and pavers also had to make a big contribution. They first had to bring in the Franconian shell limestone pavement processed here before they could lay it in the so-called "wild bond". It took over 400 hours to complete the work. The pavilion is an example of successful teaching on a specific project. The interior of the roof was designed by Großlangheim artist Gunter Will. The theme of the painting is "Light, air, water, earth - a sun dance". The roof truss with its curved rafters symbolizes the sun and its rays in the overall picture. A lush, elemental landscape opens up in the eight segments. A flowing dance of mountains, lakes and sea is filled with flowers and animals. A circling sky stretches above it, carried by circling sunbirds. The bright, strong colors on clear shapes form a clear contrast to the green foliage backdrop on the northern fortress hill.

When visiting the LGS1990, we also took a break here and enjoyed the facility.
