The permanent exhibition on the first floor and the regular special exhibitions in the former tower keeper's apartment provide a deep insight into Bregenz's city history.

Hiking

3.5 euros for admission is not too much. You can learn about the history of the city in the museum. Above it are the remains of the last tower dwelling. Above that is a platform with a panoramic view - glazed.
The ground floor belongs to St. Martin's Chapel. Old wall paintings were discovered here during a tower renovation.

Hiking

The somewhat antiquated-sounding title of "tower keeper" still exists today. Until two years ago, the keeper even lived in the Martinsturm, the baroque landmark of the state capital. Even if the "tower keeper of St. Martin" inevitably brings to mind the "hunchback of Notre Dame", the Bregenz tower keeper's duties in maintaining the historic walls and the exhibition rooms on Bregenz's history housed there are by no means any horror-like.
