The Hagenteich is located southwest of the historic center of Gernrode in the middle of the settlement area. Its only a few meters high dam dams the Steinbach (Hagentalbach). A footpath leads along the shore of the pond. The Hagenteich was probably created at the beginning of the 17th century as a mill pond. He retained this function until the 1920s.
