An approximately ten meter long rock breakthrough on the pioneer path. There's no way around it. In the truest sense of the word "We have to get through this". :-)

The pioneering tunnel is a tunnel that can be passed by hikers. The tunnel is located in the course of the Pionierweg, a hiking path that was also called Magdeburger Stieg in the past, above the Selketal between Alexisbad and Mägdesprung. The pioneer cliff is not far from the tunnel. The pioneer tunnel was cut through the rock from May 14 to 19, 1900 as part of an exercise by the 2nd company of the Magdeburg Pioneer Battalion No. 4. The tunnel was partly excavated in a mining manner.
