The sculpture of two wrestlers was created in 1906 by Wilhelm Haverkamp. It was originally located in a central location in the Schiller Park, but had to give way to a newly erected Schiller monument there in 1941. Standing on a base made of shell limestone, the larger-than-life sculpture shows the fight between two naked wrestlers. It shows the tension of the athletes and is reminiscent of the Hercules-Antaeus motif. The statue was made of bronze.
