The Napoleon oak is right next to the B167 near Karlsdorf, a small district of Altfriedland. It is also sometimes called French oak. Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821) is said to have rested under the oak tree on his campaign against Russia in 1812, from which it got its name.
