The Napoleon oak is right next to the B167 near Karlsdorf, a small district of Altfriedland. It is also sometimes called French oak. Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821) is said to have rested under the oak tree on his campaign against Russia in 1812, from which it got its name. But more recently it has also been called the Dream Magic Tree.
