The original Arenberg Castle was built as a castle in the 14th century by the Lords of Heverlee. In the 16th century, the current castle was built in Renaissance style and in the 19th century it was renovated in neo-Gothic style. It is owned by the university of the Flemish art city Leuven: KU Leuven. Amazingly, this is where you will find the Science and Technology campus. The castle park can be visited permanently. Also take a look at the beautiful watermill on the Dyle and the St. Lambertus Chapel.

Hiking

The Arenberg Park is located around the Arenberg Castle. Several buildings, including the Sint-Lambertus chapel, the water mill and the agricultural institute, are located in the park. The Dyle meanders through the area, which is largely planted with trees. A beautiful walking environment!
