The house is an old inn and post office in Hauptstrasse 3 in Rheinhausen. It was properly renovated between 1985 and 1990 after consultation with the State Monuments Office.

The guest rooms are decorated with murals and exhibits from postal and local history. The Post Museum, next to the beer garden, can also be visited every second Sunday of the month.
