It is rare to find remains of monuments in the city center. This is the case of those of the abbey of Munster, also called Saint-Grégoire abbey.

The monastery of St. Gregor (or Abbey of Münster in the Gregorian Valley/Gregory Münster (from the Latin Abbatia Monasteriensis in valle Gregoriana/in valle sancti Gregorii) was a Benedictine abbey. It existed until secularization in 1791. The buildings were largely destroyed in the First World War.
