The center of the Frankenberg plan marks the fountain, which was redesigned in 1951 - including a probably late medieval fountain bowl - and received a fountain figure created by Prof. Fürstenberg. The small holy cross on the west side, which dominates the square with its gable front, was one of around 10 hospitals in medieval Goslar (first mentioned in 1394).

Cute little square with a colorful fountain. 2 different gates give access to a beautiful church and a (unfortunately not accessible) monastery that nowadays serves as a nursing home.

A particularly picturesque place in the southwest of the historic city of Goslar is the Frankenberger Plan. At the somewhat away from the large tourist streams areal borders next to various worth seeing half-timbered houses u.a. the Frankenberg church, the former Frankenberg monastery and the historic hospital "Kleines Heiliges Kreuz". The current plan was given to the Frankenberg Plan in 1951. At that time, the imposing fountain in the middle of the square was redesigned. At the time, he received his striking figure as well as a fountain bowl, probably from the late Middle Ages.
