Whether directly via the alpine-like steep ascent from the Maltermeister tower or in an arc over the less steep paths. Ramseck (HWN 114) is worth it! The view over Goslar and the Rammelsberg is impressive and other hiking destinations catch the eye. For a short excursion, the Maltermeister Turm mountain restaurant is highly recommended.

We have taken the difficult path. There is certainly an easier way (unless paths are closed due to forest work), but this path is also worthwhile. Sturdy shoes, stamina and dry weather are important. If the ground is too wet, it could be dangerous. But after the sweaty ascent, stamping the HWN is even more fun.
