Altstraße Bicycle Street in Forst

As part of the Aachen-Brand cycle priority route, the old road in Forst is now well developed as a cycle road, with a red lane and clear markings.Unfortunately, the cycle priority route still has interruptions with suboptimal cycle path routing: Nice cycle road in Drimbornstrasse, then the Krautmühlenweg as an easily cycleable footpath and cycle path, cycle road again in Clermontstrasse and Altstrasse up to Adenauerallee. But there it is unclear how the Adenauerallee is to be crossed: in the left-turn car lane or via the sidewalk and pedestrian crossing (probably the latter). In the adjoining Linrtstraße you are tolerated on the footpath ("cyclists free") and you have to look for a suitable place to cross the Linrtstraße in order to arrive at the Sittarder Straße opposite, which is then partly developed as a bicycle street again.

The cycle priority roads have proven their worth
