In the middle of the village is the village green with the former court linden tree.

Directly above it is the former patron church of the local lords, today the Protestant church of Richelsdorf, a Gothic village church at its core. Built between 1705 and 1716. The church with two galleries is characterized by its picturesque design in the peasant baroque style. The eye-catcher in the rectangular choir is the epitaph for Philipp Wilhelm von Cornberg.

Directly next to it (there used to be a separate entrance) is the former manor house of Cornberg.

In the center of Richelsdorf, surrounded by a stone circle of so-called slag heads, stands the former court linden tree. Above, just a few meters away, is the former Cornberg mansion, now the Median Clinic, built between 1598 and 1600 by Philipp Wilhelm von Cornberg, the illegitimate son of Landgrave Wilhelm IV of Hesse-Kassel. And next to it, on a small hill, is the Gothic patron saint church from the 14th century. It was rebuilt between 1700 and 1716 and painted in the peasant baroque style. An eye-catcher in the rectangular choir is the epitaph for Philipp Wilhelm von Cornberg.
