Very nice path along the Gete where you pass, perhaps without knowing it, archaeological sites and heritage (the motte, the old water mill) and finally brings you to a grazed part of the Aronst Hoek nature reserve. Totally recommended, but realize that the emphasis here is more on nature than easy recreation.

Hiking

The river is formed by the confluence of the Kleine Gete and the Grote Gete in Budingen. From there the Gete flows northwards and just above Halen it flows into the Demer. The upper course of the Demer from Halen is shorter than that of the Gete, which means that the Gete could also be regarded as the upper course of the Demer.
