    The Gyoja Gaeshi-zaka (the "slope that makes the pilgrims go back"), is a very steep and narrow passage that lead to the highest point of Mt. Gassan. If you take the right you will see the Kimeito shrine, that enshrines the god Kunado, protector of the travelers from evil forces.
