The “Löwen-Post” inn in Alpirsbach and the Alpirsbach monastery brewery have belonged together since March 15, 1885, when Carl Glauner purchased the inn to operate it as a brewery restaurant. After a devastating fire in 1909, Carl Glauner rebuilt the inn in the Black Forest style and it has remained that way to this day.
