The Lippe Reading Lounge in Dorsten is a unique open-air art installation and virtual library designed by the artist Brigitte Stüwe for the Lippe Association. It is located on the southern Lippe dike in Dorsten, near the Schölzbach tributary, and can be reached via the Roman Lippe Route footpath and cycle path.

This creative installation invites visitors to relax and enjoy the view of the Lippe floodplains while reading. The reading lounge consists of a larch wood shelf with "book covers" that carry QR codes. These provide access to over 100 texts that deal with the Lippe, Dorsten's history and other topics. Those interested can access the texts on site using their smartphone or read them in print in the Dorsten City Library. The project is supported as part of the urban development funding from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the federal government in order to combine nature, culture and urban development.
