Port of Saint-Valery

The port of St Valery sur Somme is a port located at the mouth of the Somme Canal and at the end of the Somme Bay. It is one of the most important ports in Picardy and a popular destination for sailors, fishermen and tourists.The harbor has 250 berths for boats up to 25 m long and 2.30 m draft. It has two docks: one accessible from the west bank of the port facility and the east bank available with an annex.
The port is both a sea and a river port, as it forms the link between the Bay of the Somme and the entrance to the Somme Canal.

Very beautiful place with several possibilities for cycle routes including the one which takes you along the bay towards the Pointe du Hourdel from where if you are a little lucky, you can see the seals which line the coast quite closely.
