The Rosegger-Steig begins at the Edelbrunn guesthouse/hiking car park and leads along narrow paths, mostly through the forest. In between there are a few views towards Rettisberg and Ramsau. The trail ends after a long steel staircase at the Panoramabänkl, from where you have a great view of the Dachstein and the valley.

Hiking

The hike to the Austria Hut is quite leisurely, with its unique view of the Dachstein south face and the curious Alpine Museum - but interesting if you hike up the Roseggersteig, which is suitable for families. It is lined with boards with edifying sayings by the Styrian local poet Peter Rosegger, such as: "Everything that has value, we must seek and work hard to earn. The longer the path, the greater the grace."
