As the starting point for the Dachstein hut tour as well as many ski tours and snowshoe hikes, it is a real base camp on the Dachstein in the style of a well-tended accommodation for nature lovers.
Summer and winter tours can be found on Alpenvereinaktiv.
Also recommended is the Alpine Museum on the hut, which introduces the history of the Dachstein.
