Only the ruins of the keep remain of the small castle. It is built of small quarry stones, inside and outside remains of plaster have been preserved. The 5-storey structure can be clearly read from the remains of the corner wall, which is approx. 20 m high. With each floor, the wall recedes a little on the inside, creating a support for the ceiling beams. At the very top, an oak roof beam has been preserved - a dendrochronological study suggests that it was built around 1350.

During excavations, a ring wall was also found. The Kleinburg was also surrounded by a moat that separated the area from the mountain plateau.
