Nice tunnel, actually there are two, but one is enough as a railway track cycle path.

The tunnel, which is passable today, is one of two parallel short tunnels at the northern end of the former Lommersweiler separation station. The other is closed due to bats. At the station, the route branched off in the direction of Troisvierges (Vennbahn) and in the direction of Bleialf - Prüm - Gerolstein (Westeifelbahn, today a good cycle path to Prüm with a tunnel before Bleialf). At the southern end of the station there is another closed tunnel for the route towards Troisvierges. This section of the Vennbahn is not part of the Vennbahnweg, which runs through the Ourtal from here to Auel.
