Best Hikes to Garsellikopf Summit

Tips

  • The Garsellikopf is on the Three Sisters chain, but you can also visit it without taking the route via the Three Sisters themselves. The path over the Garsellikopf is marked red/white and requires sure-footedness and a certain head for heights, and you almost have to scramble a bit. The path has some high steps and is also secured with wire ropes. The view up here and along the whole route is very nice!

    You can reach him:
    - from Gaflei via Fürstensteig, Gafleisattel and Gafleispitze
    - from Gaflei via Alp Bargälla, Chemmi, Gafleisattel and Gafleispitze
    - from Planken to the Gafadura hut and further via the Drei-Schwestern-Steig over the Three Sisters and the Garsellikopf
    - from Schaan via the Alpila hut (rarely accessed)

  • The Garsellikopf is the second summit of the Three Sisters Chain, marking the border between Liechtenstein and Austria. Up and down it goes over an alpine trail (difficulty T3 / white-red-white).

  • In order to reach this mountain peak, one should be a little more experienced and rock boulders to climb up should not be too difficult an obstacle. Both up and down, surefootedness is absolutely essential! Great view of a whole mountain range.
